LIY-§taff Notes 07-19-07.yvpl ii~zn LOr~....,,., .... ~;. -. . ..a.i; ~iz~izz.wc-DAILY STAFF NOTES REGION I July 19, 2007 On July 16, Entergy and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 300 entered formal contract negotiations for Vermont Yankee. The contract covers Operations, Maintenance and Radiation Protection personnel. Region I has begun preparation ahead of the contract expiration date of August 19. Region I preparations include reviewing the licensee's strike contingency plan, following the progress of negotiations, and preparing an NRC watchbill if developments indicate a job action may occur.
