Page 1 of I Draft Daily Note for 7/18 On July 16, Entergy and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 300 entered formal contract negotiations for Vermont Yankee. Their current contract expires August 19. Accordingly, Region I has begun strike contingency planning for Vermont Yankee. Region I preparations include reviewing the licensee's strike contingency plan, following the progress of negotiations, and preparing an NRC watchbill if developments indicate a job action may occur.
