WOLF CREEK GENERATING STATION - WITHDRAWAL OF RELIEF REQUEST TO USE ALTERNATIVE ULTRASONIC EXAMINATION METHOD IN LIEU OF RADIOGRAPHY (TAC NO. MD2945)

Dear Mr. Muench:

By letter dated September 1, 2006 (ET 06-0029), as supplemented by the letter dated June 11, 2007 (ET 07-0012), you requested relief through Section 55a of Part 50 in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR 50.55a) to use an alternative ultrasonic examination method instead of the radiography examination method required by Subarticle NC-5222 of Section III of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. In the letter dated October 19, 2007 (ET 07-0047), this request was withdrawn. These letters are in the NRC Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at ADAMS Accession Nos.

Based on the letter of October 19, 2007, we have closed out our review of the above relief request, and the subject TAC MD2945 is closed.
