This letter is in reference to correspondence from you dated May 25, 2006, that you submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as a comment on a proposed rule Licenses, Certifications and Approvals for Nuclear Power Plants, published in the Federal Register on March 13, 2006; 71 FR 12782. Your letter was docketed as a petition for rulemaking (PRM-50-82).
In your letter you recommended that the NRC revise its regulations to modify the NRC's Limited Work Authorization (LWA) process in a number of ways. Your recommendations have been addressed in an LWA final rule (copy enclosed) to be published in the Federal Register in the next few weeks.
