SUMMARY

During the 6 month reporting period, employees and contractors submitted 1068 samples for collection and testing. Four confirmed positive for illegal drugs. One contractor refused to test.

MANAGEMENT ACTIONS:

Two contractors submitted pre-access samples that tested positive for marijuana at the Entergy cut-off level and were denied unescorted access. Two contractors submitted pre-access samples that tested positive for amphetamines. All four contractors were denied unescorted access. Another contractor refused to submit to a behavioral for cause test and his unescorted access was revoked.

EVENTS REPORTED TO THE NRC:

During this reporting period, the HHS certified drug testing laboratory returned a negative result on a positive blind QA specimen. However, the investigation determined that the content of the blind sample had degraded and the result from the laboratory was actually correct.
