SUMMARY

(RIS) 2007-17, PREPARATION AND SCHEDULING OF OPERATOR LICENSING EXAMINATIONS This letter responds to the subject NRC RIS dated July 12, 2007. In the RIS, NRC requested specific information related to: (A) proposed examination preparation schedule for the number of examinations that need to be prepared during calendar years (CY) 2008-2011, (B) schedule for initial operator license examinations, including the number of applicants to be tested and the proposed primary and alternate dates of the examinations, through CY 2011 and (C) proposed generic fundamentals examination (GFE) schedule, including the number of candidates that plan to take the GFE in CY 2008 and CY 2009.

Enclosed is a completed NRC Form 536, Operator Licensing Examination Data, which provides BFNs current schedules for the specific information requested in the RIS. In calendar year 2010, TVA plans to conduct two examinations.

BFN plans to prepare the written examinations during calendar years 2008 to 2011.
