(Entergy), held a telephone conference call on August 3, 2007, to discuss and clarify new information concerning the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station license renewal application (LRA).
Summary of Discussion On July 30, 2007, Entergy, submitted a letter to the NRC containing information to clarify four Safety Evaluation Report (SER) Confirmatory Items. The information in the letter was sufficient to resolve and close the confirmatory items but the letter also contained information on non-safety-related components affecting safety-related systems that had not been previously indicated in the original LRA or any subsequent LRA supplement.
The staff required clarification on a few areas addressed in the letter. The staff disseminated to Entergy these areas requiring clarification during this conference call. Entergy will address the staffs concerns delineated during the call in a subsequent letter.
