UPDATE OF EVACUATION TIMES FOR OFFSITE POPULATIONS IN THE EVENT OF EMERGENCY As you may be aware, the U.S. Government Department of Commerce Burpau of the Census has released 1990 census data which should be availablefTur area.

In addltion to general census data)there may be 4 v*ilable local population growth projections.

A Aegional survey indicates a tumber of facilities have not as yet incorporated updated local population data into their Emergency Plans or 4Wdete- ~helr offsite evacuation times as -ap.prm-peraiteto changes In population. y&viS*

7 If you.have not already done so, you are encouraged to use these population studies to update your Emergency Plan and offsite evacuation times associated with the zones within the ten-mile Emergency, Zone.
