Augusta Technical College Waynesboro/Burke Campus Waynesboro Auditorium 216 Hwy 24 South Waynesboro, GA 30830 PURPOSE:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received a license renewal application (LRA) from Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc., dated June 28, 2007, for the renewal of the operating licenses for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of the meeting is for the NRC staff to provide information describing the license renewal process and how the public can participate. The agenda for the meeting is attached. Information on the license renewal process is available at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/ licensing/renewal.html, the NRCs Web site.
This meeting will be preceded by an informal ?open house beginning one hour prior to the meeting. The open house will provide members of the public with an opportunity to talk informally with NRC staff.

This is a Category 3 Meeting. The public is invited to participate in this meeting by providing comments and asking questions throughout the meeting.
