REQUEST FOR COMMITMENT EXTENSION RELATED TO THE WOLF CREEK GENERATING STATION, UNIT 1, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Garrett:
By letter dated May 2, 2007, Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC or the applicant) committed to provide a license renewal application (LRA) amendment by July 20, 2007. By letter dated June 23, 2007, WCNOC requested that this commitment date be revised to August 31, 2007. The applicant will submit an integrated amendment incorporating the responses to requests for additional information (RAIs) and audit questions.
In addition, by letter dated June 22, 2007, WCNOC agreed to provide a response to RAIs 4.3-1 and 4.3-2 no later than July 23, 2007. However, the applicant has determined that it will not be able to respond to these questions within the allotted time. Therefore, by letter dated July 18, 2007, WCNOC requested that the date be revised to July 27, 2007.
By this mean, the staff grants both extension requests. The LRA amendment and the RAIs response should be submitted by August 31 and July 27, 2007, respectively.
