This letter is in response to the NRC fee regulations contained in 10 CFR Parts 170 and 171. The U.S. Geological Survey was granted an exemption from the FY 1992 annual license fees for its non-power reactor in Denver, CO, and that exemption has continued through FY 2006. This letter is to certify that the U.S. Geological Survey's research reactor in Denver continues to meet the exemption criteria specified in 10 CFR 171.11 (a)(2). The operation and design of the reactor have not changed since our original exemption request contained in letters dated 10/19/92 and 2/11193.
Please continue-the USGS exemption for License R-1 13 through FY2007. If this information needs further clarification, please notify me.
