SUMMARY

OF THE MAY 23, 2007, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE DRESDEN END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On May 23, 2007, a public meeting was held at the Grundy County Administration Building in Morris, Illinois, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Dresden Nuclear Power Station management and staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of the performance of the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3, for the period of January 1, 2006, through December 31, 2006.

The NRC presentation provided an overall assessment of the Dresden Stations performance as described in NRCs Annual Assessment Letter - Dresden Nuclear Power Station, dated March 2, 2007, (reference ADAMS accession number ML070610231). The Dresden Station, Units 2 and 3, operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety and fully met all cornerstone objectives.

Mr. Danny Bost, Dresden Site Vice President, responded on behalf of the licensee and Dresden Nuclear Power Station. Mr. Bost provided overview information on activities at Dresden with particular emphasis on the station priorities of Safety, Security, Equipment Performance and Human Performance. Mr. Bost also discussed areas needing improvement, including the May 4, 2007, Unit 2 scram, areas of accomplishment, and the upcoming Fall 2007 Unit 2 refueling outage.

Before adjourning the meeting, the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions.
