NRC STAFF=S SUPPLEMENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT Pursuant to the Commission Order dated February 26, 2007, 1 the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff (Staff) hereby notifies the Commission that it has prepared a supplement to the environmental assessment and draft finding of no significant impact related to the construction and operation of the Diablo Canyon independent spent fuel storage installation (EA). The EA and the Notice of Availability of the EA, which have been sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication, are attached, and by service of this filing are being provided to the parties to the Ninth Circuit remand which directed further Commission proceedings to undertake a NEPA-terrorism review. 2 The Staff has been informed that publication in the Federal Register is scheduled for Thursday, May 31, 2007. The Federal Register notice will solicit comments from the public for a 1
