Dear Mr. Kansler,
At the April 26'h meeting with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I was impressed by the response of the local citizenry. Their engagement in Indian Point issues is significant and their community involvement is essential.
The public interest in safety at the power plants can be utilized with the development of a "Citizens Committee." The committee would work with Entergy and NRC to offer a means of two-way communication for the benefit of all parties and to ensure that all local concerns are thoroughly addressed and reviewed.
A "Citizens Committee would be invaluable. It is a way to provide feedback to you about the community, and to disseminate information about your operations in a new, productive format for enhanced communication.
r.2 I would like to discuss this idea with you as soon as possible.
B, Sincerely, Sandy Galef Member offhe Assembly
