OF APRIL 26, 2007, ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING WITH ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC.

On April 26, 2007 at 6:30 p.m., an annual assessment meeting was conducted at Colonial Terrace, Cortlandt Manor, New York, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. A list of key attendees from the NRC, Entergy, and external stakeholders is attached.

The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance of Indian Point Units 2 and 3 for the period of January 1 through December 31, 2006. The NRC presentation included a discussion on the NRC, its strategic goals, the Reactor Oversight Process, and performance assessment results for calendar year 2006. As part of this annual assessment meeting, Entergy presented its perspective on the stations' performance, acknowledged and agreed with NRC's assessment, and provided information regarding improvements in the area of safety conscious work environment and procedure quality.

The NRC and Entergy presentations were followed by a question and answer period which lasted approximately two hours. Questions raised by stakeholders were related to plant performance, recent plant transients, emergency preparedness and the alert and notification system, groundwater contamination, and the Reactor Oversight Process. The NRC staff also responded to questions raised by members of the local media. Feedback forms submitted by the public following the meeting will be evaluated.
