SUMMARY
OF THE MAY 9, 2007, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CLINTON END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On May 9, 2007, a public meeting was held at the Vespasian Warner Public Library in Clinton, Illinois, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Clinton Power Station management and staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of the performance of the Clinton Power Station for the period of January 1, 2006, through December 31, 2006.
The NRC presentation provided an overall assessment of the Clinton Stations performance as described in NRCs Annual Assessment Letter - Clinton Power Station, dated March 2, 2007, (reference ADAMS Accession Number ML070610156). The Clinton Station operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety, and fully met all cornerstone objectives.
Messrs. Bryan Hanson and Russ Kearney, Clinton Site Vice President, and Clinton Plant Manager, responded on behalf of the licensee and Clinton Power Station. Mr. Kearney provided overview information on the stations accomplishments for 2006 with particular emphasis on capacity factor, safety system availability, the new Technical Support Center, and ground water monitoring. Mr. Hanson discussed the stations response to the White finding and focus areas going forward. A copy of the licensees slides was incorporated into the NRC presentation.

Before adjourning the meeting, the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions.
