SUMMARY

OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON MARCH 7, 2007, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND WOLF CREEK NUCLEAR OPERATING CORPORATION, CONCERNING THE UPCOMING SAFETY AUDIT The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation held a telephone conference call on March 7, 2007, regarding the upcoming aging management programs (AMPs) and time-limited aging analyses (TLAAs) audit to be conducted at Wolf Creek Generating Station during the week of March 26, 2007.

The Enclosure shows a list of participants. During the telephone conference call the following logistical items were discussed:

The applicant was informed that the staff will be auditing the AMPs and TLAAs. The first group of audit questions will be sent via e-mail by the end of the week. All questions and answers gathered during the audit will be collected in a database and incorporated in the docket as a publicly available document.

The staff requested access to the TLAA basis documents. Systems descriptions, design specifications, metal fatigue analysis data, and any supporting information should be made available during the audit.

The staff requested supporting documentation for the leak before break analysis and Fatigue Monitoring Program. Manual transients data and projections basis should be made available during the audit.

The staff requested that dissimilar metals plant-specific operating experience should be available during the audit.

The applicant was informed that the entrance meeting will be on Monday, March 26, 2007.
