Steam Generator Program Amendment Need for Discussion Mr. Flentje, I was informed today that we need to have a discussion about a commitment made in your (Nuclear Management Company's) response dated January 19, 2007 to NRC Request #4. This is a a commitment that provides information in your 180-day report about indications in the upper 17" and leakage for the lowermost region of the tubes in the hot-leg tubesheet. The second part - the leakage - is for the portion that will not have to be inspected or plugged in RFO 30 if the amendment is approved.
We requested this information for the lowermost 4 inches based on a tubesheet thickness of 21 inches for other similar amendments, but the tubesheet thickness at Point Beach 1 is approximately 21.8 inches. We need to have a short discussion to clarify this commitment.
