MD4188), March 15, 2007 In Attachment I of Reference 1 dated January 31, 2007, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) noted that documents issued by the PWR Owners Group (PWROG) was being evaluated with respect to enhanced processes and methods of calculating leakage. SCE&G informed the NRC that an updated response would be provided in a follow-up letter by March 31, 2007.

Since committing to perform this review, SCE&G has subsequently committed through Reference 2 dated February 19, 2007, to an enhanced leak monitoring process to meet NRC requested standards as confirmed by Reference 3. SCE&G has determined that no additional changes will be incorporated from PWROG recommendations until Industry and the EPRI Materials Reliability Program (MRP) review is complete and mandatory portions, if any, are identified.

SCE&G staff is available to meet with the NRC to discuss any of the information contained in this letter.
