April 5, 2007 LICENSEE: FPL ENERGY SEABROOK, LLC (FPLE)

FACILITY: SEABROOK STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (SEABROOK)

SUBJECT:

SUMMARY

OF MARCH 1, 2007, MEETING WITH FPL ENERGY SEABROOK, LLC, TO DISCUSS VITAL INSTRUMENT BUS INVERTER ALLOWED-OUTAGE TIMES On March 1, 2007, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a meeting with FPLE to discuss a potential license amendment request (LAR) to be submitted for Seabrook.

Specifically, the meeting was held to discuss a potential LAR that would extend the allowed-outage times for the Seabrook Vital Instrument Bus Inverters 1E and 1F. This document provides a summary of the meeting. No members of the public were in attendance.

G. Edward Miller, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, opened the meeting and those in attendance introduced themselves. FPLE presented information to describing the planned change, and described the probabilistic risk assessment model that would be used to make the potential LAR risk-informed. The NRC staff provided feedback regarding the planned submittal and identified areas in which the review would be focused.

Following a review of the discussion, the meeting was adjourned. For any inquires concerning this meeting, I can be reached at (301) 415-2481, or gxm@nrc.gov.
