Dear Mr. Nilekani:
I want to express my appreciation for the outstanding support you provided during the Preparedness for Pandemic Avian Influenza session, which helped make the 2007 Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) Regulatory Information Conference (RIC) a tremendous success.
The RIC is a dynamic forum for national and international stakeholders to interact and discuss a wide range of issues important to nuclear safety. It provides NRC management, NRCs regulated utilities, and other important stakeholders an opportunity to meet and communicate regarding safety initiatives and regulatory trends. There were over 2,500 people in attendance at this years conference.
Again, thanks so much for your enthusiastic participation in the RIC. I have no doubt that it would not have been the success that it was without your presence.
