CR-PNP-2006-03497 Condition
Description:
During the NRCs walkdown of the Torus Compartment as part of the License Renewal review, the inspectors noted the presence of combustible material. Fire Protection walked down the area and found that the material was not in conformance with procedure ENN-DC-161. The wood appears to have been used for scaffolding. In additiion,wood cover over the dewatering sump is constructed of wood. There was no posting of the work number or supervisor in the area.

Description:
Conducted walkdown & reported the condition to Operations and the work week manager.
Suggested Action
Description:
Remove wood from the Torus compartment especially Bay 15.. Reinforce procedural adherence to ENN-DC-161 with Maintenance.
Replace wood cover over dewatering sump in Bay 15 with non-combustible cover.
