- MEETING CATEGORY 1 - ANNUAL ASSESSMENT - BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT - DOCKET NOS.
50-259, 50-260 AND 50-296
Dear Mr. Singer:
This letter confirms the telephone conversations between Mr. William Crouch of your staff and Mr. Thierry Ross on February 27, 2007. The conversations were concerning an Annual Assessment Meeting requested by us which is scheduled for April 2, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. (CDT).
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRCs Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your operating Browns Ferry Units 2 and 3, and applicable portions of Unit 1.
During the meeting, we recognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, if you so desire, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunity to respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance. The meeting will be held at the Browns Ferry Training Center at the plant site in Athens, Alabama.
The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
