Letter from P. B. Cowan (Exelon Generation Company, LLC) to U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, dated October 10, 2006 In the referenced letter, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC), requested relief from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) OM Code, 1990 Edition, Code for Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants. Specifically, this relief request proposed an alternative for Limerick Generating Station (LGS), Units 1 and 2, that would have permitted testing (i.e., disassembly, inspection, and partial flow testing) of Residual Heat Removal (RHR)
System check valves during any plant mode (Relief Request No. 51 -VRR-3).
Upon further review, EGC is withdrawing this request.
