Dear Mr. Lickus:
Attached are the latest revisions to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Emergency Information Calendar for 2007, and the Fermi 2 NPP Emergency Preparedness Booklet for 2006-2007. The D.C. Cook NPP Emergency Information Calendar was prepared and printed by American Electric Power in cooperation with the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division, and the Berrien County Emergency Management Office. The Fermi 2 NPP Emergency Preparedness Booklet was prepared and printed by Detroit Edison in cooperation with the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division, the Monroe County Emergency Management Division, and the Wayne County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
Berrien County lies within the D.C. Cook NPP's 1 0-mile emergency planning zone (EPZ), and Monroe and Wayne Counties lie within the Fermi 2 NPP's 10-mile EPZ.
We request that you review these documents for conformity to Title 44, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 350 and the requirements of NUREG-0654. Please provide written comments regarding your review to the Department of Homeland Security Chicago Field Office by March 7, 2007. Please retain the previous approved emergency information and preparedness documents until we will notify you of our final approval of the 2007 version of the D.C. Cook NPP Emergency Information Calendar, and the 2006-2007 version of the Fermi 2 NPP's Emergency Preparedness Booklet.
