Dear Mr. Suter:
The petition for a writ of certiorari in the above-captioned cased was filed on September 29, 2006, and placed on the docket on October 3, 2006. The government's response is due on November 2, 2006.
We respectfully request, under Rule 30.4 of the rules of this Court, an extension of time to and including December 1, 2006, within which to file the government's response.
We are seeking this extension on behalf of both the United States and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
This extension is requested to complete preparation ofthe government's response, which was delayed because of the heavy press of earlier assigned cases to the attorneys handling this matter.
