- MEETING CATEGORY 1 - MEETING BETWEEN NRC AND TVA-SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT, DOCKET NOS.

50-327 AND 50-328

Dear Mr. Singer:

This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Glenn Morris, of your staff and Mr. Malcolm Widmann of this office on January 8, 2007, concerning a Category 1 public meeting scheduled for February 13, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss plant status, post-outage initiatives, major upcoming projects, top ten plant issues, recent operations accreditation and safety culture initiatives at your Sequoyah facility. The location of the meeting will be at the Region II Office, Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street, S.W.,

Atlanta, Georgia, in Suite 24T20. The meeting will be an open meeting (Category 1 meetings invite public observation, but provide opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting) in accordance with "NRC's Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings," May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, Pages 36920-36924). The meeting notice which provides additional details is enclosed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (Public Electronic Reading Room).
