SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT: ALLEGED EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION AGAINST A SECURITY OFFICER (OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS CASE NUMBER 4-2006-011)
Dear Mr. Singer:
Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
Office of Investigations (OI) completed report regarding alleged employment discrimination by Pinkerton management against a Pinkerton security officer for raising security concerns.
OI determined that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegation of employment discrimination by management against a Pinkerton security officer for raising security concerns.
We plan no further action with regard to either of these matters. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). NOT FOR PUBLIC DISCLOSURE WITHOUT APPROVAL OF FIELD OFFICE DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS, REGION II Case No. 4-2006-011 SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region II (RII), on November 29, 2005, to determine whether a security officer, employed by Pinkerton Government Services (Pinkerton) at the Tennessee Valley Authoritys (TVA) Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (Sequoyah), Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, was subjected to employment discrimination by Pinkerton management for raising security concerns.
Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, the allegation that a Security Officer, employed by Pinkerton at Sequoyah, was subjected to employment discrimination by management for raising security concerns was not substantiated.
