UPDATE ON MW-51 AND MW-52 RESULTS AT INDIAN POINT Gentleman:
Don Mayer want us to update you on the recount results performed at Teledyne lab on Monitoring Wells MW-51 and MW-52 we just received.
While these findings will be reviewed with you tomorrow on the conference call, he wanted you to be given the information in the same time frame we just received it.
On a previous Teledyne count of MW-51 (sample taken on 5/11/06) we reported to you results that indicated tritium at a level of 473 pCi/L.
We had them recount the sample. They distilled the sample and recounted it, and reported back to us that tritium was not detected ( (N.D.)
On a previous Teledyne count of MW-52 (sample taken 6/2/06) we reported to you results that indicated strontium at a level of 5.67 pCi/L.
We originally suspected this strontium value may be in error because in all testing of this well we never saw any tritium, and thus questioned the strontium number.
A recount of this sample at Teledyne indicated no strontium present N.D.)
We will re-communicate this tomorrow, and add additional information on the recent progress on monitoring well drilling.
