Dear Mr. Archie:
This refers to the meeting conducted at your staffs request at the Region II Office in Atlanta, Georgia, on September 27, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. The meetings purpose was to discuss your planned activities during Refueling Outage 16 at the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station.
Enclosed is a list of attendees. The presentation material used for the discussion is available from the NRCs document system (ADAMS) as accession number ML062760245.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial, in that, your staff presented an informative overview of activities to be performed during the Refueling Outage 16, including goals and major modifications and work activities, and a description of the planned recirculation sump design changes.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
