Dearar" This is in reference to our letter dated July 20, 2005, that stated we would review your concern which you brought to our attention on June 20, 2005. You believe you were the subject of discrimination (site access denied) for reporting that you inadvertently dropped a wrench from scaffolding that you were constructing at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant.
On August 19, 2005, you filed a complaint of discrimination under Section 211 of the Energy Reorganization Act with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). In a letter to the NRC dated October 21, 2005, DOL Informed us that It has closed the investigation of your. case as the parties have settled the matter. Because a settlement agreement was executed, we are closing your concern. No unresolved technical issues or violations of NRC requirements were Identified.
Thank you for Informing us of your concern. We take our safety responsibilities to the public very seriously and appreciate your willingness to bring your concern to our attention. If you disagree with our conclusion or wish to provide additional information, please contact the Region III Office Allegation Coordinators.
