St. Lucie Units I and 2 Docket Nos. 50-335 and 50-389 Clarification for St. Lucie Response To Generic Letter 2006-03 On April 10, 2006, the NRC issued Generic Letter (GL) 2006-03, "Potentially Nonconforming Hemyc and MT Fire Barrier Configurations." Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) docketed the St. Lucie Plant response to GL 2006-03 in Attachment I to FPL letter L-2006-118 dated June 9, 2006. In the St. Lucie response to question L.b, FPL stated that the electrical raceway fire barrier system (ERFBS) design requirement fire resistance equivalency evaluations were performed pursuant to GL 86-10 guidance. The NRC staff subsequently inquired if the above evaluations were performed under the guidance of Supplement I to GL 86-10. This letter provides clarification that the fire resistance equivalency evaluations for Thermolag ERFBS were performed pursuant to GL 86-10 Supplement I guidance.
