Addional Info for 6114 9:30am PreBrief for NRCIPSEG 6/16 7pm mtg As a followup to my email yesterday regarding the subject prebriefing on Monday morning, Anne Passarelli provided the draft slides to the Region I participants today, and she has also faxed and emailed them to Ed Miller, NRR today. Thanks to Ed for ensuring copies are provided to all of the HQ participants.
Some additional files that have been created to help prepare for the prebrief, as well as the June 16 mtg, are also attached. Since many are in table format, there probably easier to use if saved to wordperfect and printed. They are all evolving draft predecisional products and have been labelled as such.
You may want to discard them when no longer needed, or after they have been finalized.
Those additonal products consist of
- 1. A Plan For Actions Prior To, During, and Subsequent to the June 16 Meeting
- 2. A draft condensed summary, in the form of a matrix, providing the nature, purpose, and timeframe of the PSEG assessments, as well as some key findings and recommendations made by the assessors.
- 3. A draft condensed summary, in the form of a matrix, providing some key findings and recommendations from the NRC review (the NRC review was based on staff interviews, with 01 assistance, of approximately 65 former and current employees at various levels in the organization).
- 4. A draft options matrix showing options for ensuring that PSEG makes necessary improvements to the work environment, including options for an NRC letter, as well as options for conducting NRC followup.
- 5. A draft Confirmatory Action Letter (one of the options listed in the matrix referenced in item 4).
CAUTION -THERE HAS BEEN NO FINAL DECISION TO ISSUE A CAL. IT HAS BEEN DRAFTED TO SEE WHAT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE AND TO BE READY TO DECIDE AFTER THE JUNE 16 MEETING.
A CAL IS IN THE MIDDLE BETWEEN AN ORDER OR A LETTER. IT COULD EASILY BE REVISED INTO ONE OF THE OTHER OPTIONS IF ANOTHER IS DETERMINED TO BE MORE APPROPRIATE.
- 6. Some draft questions for PSEG during the June 16 meeting.
- 7. Some draft Q&As for questions that may arise after the meeting when the NRC will accept comments and questions from the public in attendance.
If you have any comments on the slides, any comments on the other documents provided, or any other comments related to this matter, you can provide them to me or raise them at the Monday prebriefing.
As a reminder, the bridge no. for the June 14 prebriefing ii-8 00 -6 38-8081, passcode lf If you have any questions or comments, please call me at 610-337-5312.
Thanks in advance to all the HQ staff who have agreed to participate in Monday's prebriefing.
