JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 1 AND 2 CORRECTION OF RECENTLY ISSUED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION PAGES
Dear Mr. Summer:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 173 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-2 and Amendment No. 166 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-8 (Amendments 173/166) for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 and 2 on June 29, 2006. The amendments modified Technical Specification (TS) requirements for inoperable snubbers by modifying Limiting Condition for Operation (LCO) 3.0.1 and adding LCO 3.0.8. Due to the inadvertent use of an outdated version of several TS pages, the issuance of these amendments did not continue to reflect the changes to LCO 3.0.4 and Surveillance Requirement 3.0.4 that was authorized with the issuance of Amendment Nos. 170 and 163 on February 22, 2006. The corrected TS pages 3.0-1, 3.0-2, 3.0-4 and 3.0-5, reflecting both the changes authorized in Amendment Nos. 170/163 and 173/166 are attached.
The NRC also issued Amendment No. 174 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-2 and Amendment No. 167 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-8 (Amendments 174/167) for the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 on July 11, 2006. Those amendments revised TS Section 5.6.5, Core Operating Limits Report (COLR) to reflect the addition of further methodology for the analysis of loss-of-coolant accidents. Due to the inadvertent use of an outdated version of one TS page, the issuance of these amendments did not continue to reflect the changes to Section 5.6.9 related to containment tendon reporting requirements that had been authorized by Amendments 172/165 on April 14, 2006. The corrected TS page 5.6-6, reflecting both the changes authorized in Amendment Nos. 172/165 and 174/167 is attached.
Sincerely,
/RA/
