Dear Mr. Marion:
This letter is in response to your correspondence dated June 21, 2006, Technical Issues Clarifications on Post-Fire Operator Manual Actions - June 9, 2006, Public Meeting, (ADAMS Accession No. ML061720329), in which you requested that the subject meeting summary and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) responses to questions be documented and included as an attachment to the draft Regulatory Issue Summary 2006-XX, Regulatory Expectations with Appendix R Paragraph III.G.2 Operator Manual Actions (ML061430404).
On June 30, 2006, the NRC issued the final Regulatory Issue Summary 2006-10, Regulatory Expectations with Appendix R Paragraph III.G.2 Operator Manual Actions (ML061650389).
Clarifications were made to the final Regulatory Issue Summary as a result of stakeholder input provided to the NRC at the public meeting. In addition, the NRC draft responses to stakeholders questions presented at the public meeting (ML061440237 and ML061440251) have also been revised to address comments received at the meeting. The revised responses are publicly available at the ADAMS Accession Numbers ML061980016 and ML061980035.
Since the requested information is already available in the public domain, the NRC didnt include them as attachments to Regulatory Issue Summary 2006-10. However, if a need arises, we will consider providing additional guidance in this area in the future.
