DOCKET NOs. 50-424, 50-425

Dear Mr. Grissette:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Jack Stringfellow of your staff and Lee Miller of this office on June 27, 2006, concerning a Regulatory Conference, being conducted at your request, which has been scheduled for July 26, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the Regulatory Conference is to discuss the risk significance of the inspection finding documented in Inspection Report 05000424/200609, 05000425/200609. This finding involved a risk-significant performance deficiency involving a failure of the licensees exercise critique process to identify a weakness associated with an Risk Significant Planning Standard that was determined to be a Drill/Exercise Performance - Performance Indicator opportunity failure and was preliminarily characterized as WHITE, e.g., an issue having Low to moderate increased importance to safety. In addition, the conference will also address the apparent violation associated with the inspection finding.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS).
