RE: FW: MOST RECENT SPLIT SAMPLES BEING PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT TO THE STATE AND NRC I am sure Bill was under that understanding of the March 27 shipment date, but when the IPEC shipper's wife was taken to the Hospital Emergency Room and remained in the hospital for 2 days, it changed the plan, and Bill was probably not updated of this in a timely manner.

No excuses... we will try to all work in a more coordinated fashion and make this process work...and we will.

Thanks, Ron Sachatello From: Timothy Rice [1]

Ron, This is part of the reason we were concerned about sample shipment. As you can see below, we were informed that they were being shipped on Monday, 3/27/06.

Robert, Ten samples from the Phase 2 monitoring wells are being shipped to Wadsworth today. See list attached.

Page 1

You know 36, and while it is from Phase 1, I requested it due to the high Sr-90 values and Ni-63 hit.

49 and 50 are the ones bracketing the canal in the old Unit 1 turbine building.

42 is the one immediately to the SW of Unit 1.

Collection of all of these was observed by NRC.

NRC is standing by its commitment to split all samples (100%) for the foreseeable future, and to analyze all of them for the full Part 61 list.

This does not commit us to anything beyond what we have previously decided to do for splits.

Tim
