STATE SPLIT SAMPLE COORDINATION Tim:

Thanks for the clarification of the sample preservation protocol. I do not believe we were aware of that specification at the time of the sample collection and mailing process.

Possibly we can figure a way to expedite this, or preserve as necessary, to meet each customers needs. I know that Bill Axelson would be able to best coordinate this. Regretfully I am out next week and will not be able to push this issue up the line, so do not hesitate to e-mail Bill as required.

As a recent update, 10 minutes ago we obtained our first (initial) sample from MW-52, and took 4 additional low volume samples from various well heights in MW-42. We will be counting these in-house at IPEC for tritium and gamma and provide the results to you as soon as we get them. At earliest our results would be late Monday or Tuesday if it get it on the tritium run today (which is not assured).

Please let Bill know your sampling needs and required protocols so he can best make this happen on our end.

Have a nice weekend.

RE: FW: STATE SPLIT SAMPLES - Not Received by Lab No I was unaware of the direct delivery. Thank you for that.

Our problem is that we will be outside of our lab protocols for sample preservation at this point.

Tim

Mr. Rice:

I would assume the warehouse receiving these NRC and State samples at the same time treated them similarly, but I am not in this transportation loop. I know factually that the IPEC samples did not go out any faster than the State or NRC samples.

I do not know if you are aware of it, but three weeks ago Entergy had an employee directly drive the State samples, and hand delivered them directly to the State laboratory supervisor, to try to make this process as fast as possible. We shipped the corresponding NRC samples and IPEC samples using the US mail system.

Re: FW: STATE SPLIT SAMPLES - Not Received by Lab Did the backup for outage receipts and delivery also delay the shipment of the NRC and Entergy samples for the same amount of time?
