NON-SENSITIVE - NOT FOR PUBLIC DISCLOSURE Region III On January 26, the Braidwood licensee, Exelon, conducted a meeting with residents living near the facility to discuss the current status of characterizing the tritium contamination, financial remedies, and remediation plans. Approximately 25-30 local i
residents attended, along with NRC and State regulatory agency representatives.
Residents expressed concerns related to potential health effects, property values, and the delay in identifying and communicating the 1998 and 2000 leaks. Region III staff attended the meeting and handled limited questions.
