Description:==

Originator: PATRICK W DALY Supv Contacted: "B" duty team.

Condition

Description:

On Saturday 01/21/06 chemistry performed a routine Water sample from the outside FRAC tank berm area. This was performed to support the transfer of release tank water to the FRAC tanks for storage. The result of the first sample (sample # 1) came back from chemistry reading 1.74E-05; this Is above the LLD limit of 1.677E-07. The sample was counted a second time to verify the activity was correct. The second count revealed the activity as 1,508E-05; also above the LLD for Tritium. The sample #1 did not reveal any other isotopes other then tritium. A second sample (sample # 2) was taken as confirmatory to sample #1. It revealed 9.717E-06, tritium. This again is above the LLD limit for tritium. This information was communicated through the duty team and discussed on the Sunday morning call. The operations lead after the morning call was to contact the project owner to perform the follow-up actions that need to be taken per the PROC approved document.
