On June 19, 2006, the Board held a prehearing telephone conference call to discuss, inter alia, an unopposed motion by the Department of Public Services of the State of Vermont to reschedule the oral argument tentatively scheduled for July 25 and 26, 2006.2 Representatives of the NRC staff, the applicants, and all petitioners/requestors except the Town of Marlboro, Vermont, participated in the conference call.3 After hearing from each of the participants, the Board ruled, inter alia, that oral argument, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, and Wednesday, August 2, 2006, in or about Brattleboro, Vermont.
- Copies of this order were sent this date by Internet e-mail transmission to counsel or a representative for (1) applicant Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc.; (2) petitioners Town of Marlboro, Vermont, the Massachusetts Attorney General, the State of Vermont Department of Public Service, and the New England Coalition; and (3) the NRC staff.
The time and location of any such oral argument, as well as the sequence and organization of the presentations, will be set by a subsequent order.
