POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT - REVIEW OF 10 CFR 50.54(p)(2)
CHANGES TO SECURITY PLAN (TAC NOS. MD0146 AND MD0147)
Dear Mr. Koehl:
By letters to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) dated July 25 and September 28, 2005, and February 7, 2006, you submitted Revisions 1, 2, and 3, respectively, to the Point Beach Nuclear Plant Physical Security Plan and Safeguards Contingency Plan. The NRC staff has reviewed the changes contained in Revisions 1, 2, and 3 and finds them acceptable in meeting the provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Section 50.54(p)(2). The effectiveness of the security plan and supporting facility implementing procedures and practices will continue to be subject to future NRC review and inspection, including NRC-conducted force-on-force exercises. Enclosed is the Safeguards Evaluation.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, "Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding," a copy of this letter without the enclosure may be examined, and/or copied for a fee, at the NRCs Public Document Room (PDR), located at One White Flint North, Public File Area O1 F21, 11555 Rockville Pike (first floor), Rockville, Maryland. Publicly available records will be accessible electronically from the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Public Electronic Reading Room on the Internet at the NRC Web site, http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
