SUMMARY
OF THE MAY 11, 2006, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE CLINTON END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On May 11, 2006, a public meeting was held at the Vespasian Warner Public Library in Clinton, Illinois between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Clinton Power Station management and staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of the performance of the Clinton Power Station for the period of January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005.
The NRC presentation provided an overall assessment of the Clinton Stations performance as described in NRCs Annual Assessment Letter - Clinton Power Station, dated March 2, 2006, (reference ADAMS accession number ML060610128). The Clinton Station operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety, and fully met all cornerstone objectives.
Mr. Mike McDowell, Clinton Plant Manager, responded on behalf of the licensee and Clinton Power Station. Mr. McDowell provided overview information on the stations accomplishments for 2005 with particular emphasis on industrial safety performance and the successful completion of security force-on-force drills at the station. Mr. McDowell also discussed the stations focus areas going forward. A copy of the licensees slides was incorporated into the NRC presentation.

Before adjourning the meeting, the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions.
