EXTENSION GRANTED FOR THE BIOLOGICAL OPINIONS FOR THE DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT AND THE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION (REFERENCE NO. 151401SWR04PR13815:JSK)
Dear Mr. McInnis:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission received your letter dated March 21, 2006, requesting extensions for the biological opinions (BOs) regarding continued operations of the Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP) and San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS).
The requested extension date for the completion of the BOs is May 31, 2006. The extension request was approved via e-mail by Harriet Nash of our staff as a mailed response would not have reached you before the requested response date of March 31, 2006.
This letter confirms that we approved the requested extension and look forward to receiving your BOs by May 31, 2006. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Ms. Harriet Nash, by telephone at 301-415-4100 or by e-mail at hln@nrc.gov.
