NRC Visit Week of January 30 James Noggle of the NRC called me this morning. He is planning to be here on site from January 31 st through February 2nd as part of the Unit 2 Spent Fuel Pool Special Inspection Team. In attendance with him will be James Kottan, and the NRC hydrologists Richard Codell and Thomas Nicholson. He asked for the following agenda:
Tuesday, January 31 st -
(1) in the morning meet with our hydrologist (GZA and others as necessary) with a presentation of the site hydrology review, (2) in thei afternoon, hydrologists (NRC and GZA, and others as necessary) tour the monitoring well si:es.
(3) Additionally, Jim would like to meet with Paul Bode, Bill Axelson, or others to discuss the KT/Root Cause Analysis.
Wednesday, February 1 st -
(1) Noggle stated that Wednesday would be used for the NRC to internally dialogue.
Thursday, February 2nd -
(1) Noggle would like to have a SPECIAL INSPECTION TEAM DEBRIEF (NOT to be confused with an exit)
Actions Items:
- 1.
Gary Hinrichs - contact and arrange for GZA hydrologist to be here all day on January 31 st
- 2.
Bill Axelson - be prepared to discuss the Root Cause Analysis results and/or status. (Noggle emphasized this to be a very important component to their Special Inspection. He also stated that our senior resident inspector is also reviewing this in PCRS.)
- 3.
Paul Bode - be prepared to discuss the KT Analysis results and/or status. (Noggle emphasized this to be a very important component to their Special Inspection. He also stated that our senior resident inspector is also reviewing this in PCRS.)
- 4.
Gary Hinrichs - Noggle also asked for a copy of the GZA hydrology report with the understanding this may be a draft. He would like to get it to the NRC hydrologists for review prior to them being here on January 31 st.
- 5.
Don Croulet - Arrange for February 2nd NRC Special Inspection Team Debrief.
