SUBJECT:
R.E. GINNA NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO. 94 RE: RELAXED AXIAL OFFSET CONTROL (TAC NO. MC6867)
Dear Mrs. Korsnick:
On February 15, 2006, the Commission issued Amendment No. 94 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-18 for the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. This amendment was in response to your application dated April 29, 2005.
The amendment revised the Technical Specifications (TSs) to incorporate the relaxed axial offset control and heat flux hot channel (FQ) surveillance methodologies. The changes are consistent with Westinghouse Electric Company Report WCAP-10216-P-A, Relaxation of Constant Axial Offset Control/FQ Surveillance Technical Specification.
When Amendment No. 94 was issued, an administrative error was made to TS 5.6.5, Core Operating Limits Report (COLR), in that the title for WCAP-10216-P-A contained a missing word when it was listed in TS 5.6.5.b.3. Therefore, the corrected TS page no. 5.6-3 is enclosed to replace the page issued with Amendment No. 94.
If there are any questions regarding this matter, please contact me at (301) 415-1457.
Sincerely,
/RA/
