Route: Texas A&M University to Idaho National Laboratory By application dated October 12, 2005, the U.S. Department of Energy requested an approval of a route to transport spent fuel from Texas A&M University to Idaho National Laboratory. This request identifies additional information needed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff in connection with its review of the application. This request describes information needed by the staff for it to complete its review of the application and to determine whether the applicant has demonstrated compliance with regulatory requirements.

Verify and re-submit the 24-hour emergency contact information provided along the proposed route from Texas A&M University to Idaho National Laboratory.
The emergency contact information provided along the proposed route contains incorrect telephone numbers. For example, one emergency contact number is connected to a fax machine. The 24-hour emergency contact information ensures that local law enforcement assistance is available while the spent fuel shipment is in transit in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 73.37.
