Bruce Bartlett assumed duties as Senior Resident Inspector as Richard Skokowski transferred to the Region. Raymond Ng assumed duties as Resident Inspector in May as Pete Snyder transferred to Headquarters.

There was one refueling outage for Unit 1 from March 7 thru 29 and a refueling outage for Unit 2 from September 27 to October 15

Byron Annual Assessment Summary January 1 - December 31, 2005 z Exelon operated Byron Units 1 & 2 in a manner that preserved public health and safety z All cornerstone objectives were met. All findings were of very low safety significance (GREEN) z NRC plans baseline inspections at Byron for the remainder of the assessment period
