Braidwc'od submitted their response to the 1EPA NOV on Feb 2, 2006. Braidwood did not contest the
-NOV.
The response summarized their efforts to date (i.e., halting liquid radwaste releases, sampling, etc),
including a brief discussion of planned actions. There were no big surprises as we were already aware of most of this information. However, Braidwood did request a meeting with the [EPA to discuss this issue.
Braidwc'od plans to complete the Site Investigative Report (i.e., tritium characterization study) by.March
- 24. A Remedial Objectives Report will be submitted to the IEPA no later than 30 days after the site report is issue-J. The Remedial Action Plan will be submitted within 30 days after IEPA approves the objectives report. Braidwood is also working on a community relations action plan. This plan is expected to be submitted to IEPA by March 1.
The NOV response is a little to big to fax, but I can ask the licensee to send you a copy, assuming YOU haven't already recieved one. Otherwise, I can just keep it in our office until John shows up for his inspecti Dn.
thanks... N
