Bwd response to IEPA Notice of Violation Braidwood submitted their response to the IEPA NOV on Feb 2, 2006. Braidwood did not contest the NOV. The response summarized their efforts to date (i.e., halting liquid radwaste releases, sampling, etc),
including a brief discussion of planned actions. There were no big surprises as we were already aware of most of this information. However, Braidwood did request a meeting with the IEPA to discuss this issue.
Braidwood plans to complete the Site Investigative Report (i.e., tritium characterization study) by March
- 24. A Remedial Objectives Report will be submitted to the IEPA no later than 30 days after the site report is issued. The Remedial Action Plan will be submitted within 30 days after IEPA approves the objectives report. Braidwood is also working on a community relations action plan. This plan is expected to be submitted to IEPA by March 1.
The NCOV response is a little to big to fax, but I can ask the licensee to send you a copy, assuming you haven't already recieved one. Otherwise, I can just keep it in our office until John shows up for his inspection.
thanks....N CC:
